Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5 review
At the rate Samsung will in the announcement of new tablets, one would almost think that the Korean company is launching a series of slate month. It's simple, just on the premium segment, which has the Galaxy Tab Pro and Galaxy Note, there are nearly 10 references 3 screen sizes if we distinguish Wi-Fi and 4G versions.
And since Samsung appetite can never fill, here comes the Samsung Galaxy Tab S series! Available in sizes 10.5 - this is new - and 8.4 inches, the Galaxy Tab S, as its name suggests, is intended for the tablet manufacturer's star smartphone: the Galaxy S5.
Slate and mobile thus share many characteristics, technical and plastic, the presence of an AMOLED screen. Mini event since Samsung, after the failure of the Galaxy Tab 7.7 in 2012, had stymied the use of this panel technology. Only today, the cost of AMOLED and general public appetite for this type of rendering screen makes it fertile ground.
The Galaxy Tab 10.5 S therefore adopts a 10.5-inch AMOLED screen with a very high resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels, as on the Galaxy Tab Pro, Note 10.1 (2014) and Note Pro.
Like most of them, it has an octal-core Samsung Exynos chip mobile 5 Octa, clocked at 1.9 GHz and 1.3 GHz (for both quad systems, respectively ARM Cortex-A15 and A7) and accompanied of RAM 3GB.
The storage capacity is 16 GB, but can be expanded via the addition of a microSD card (up to an additional 128 GB). A 2-megapixel sensor is placed at the front, while an 8-megapixel camera sits on the back (Full HD 1080p video capture).
All runs Android 4.4.2 KitKat, but Samsung oblige, here we have the right to home TouchWiz interface, which covers almost all of the original system.
In addition to the graphic and ergonomic redesign, there are some additions software such as productivity tools already on the Tab Pro and Pro rating, but also a children's fashion and free access to the VoD Canal Play Infinity for 3 months.
The tablet Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.5 S is marketed in indicative price of $ 610.
